In December 2015, Sir Ian “Beefy” Botham will be putting his trainers on once again to pound the South African Tarmac. This mammoth trek will take in most of South Africa’s prime locations and stunning scenery. He may even have a minute to sample a local wine or two.

All monies raised for this walk will stay in South Africa and be divided equally between the charities.

The scheme works by returning a percentage of profits from the sale of Waitrose Foundation produce from South Africa, Ghana and Kenya - including cut flowers, avocados and beans - to fund locally-led sustainable programmes that are chosen by and benefit the farmers and smallholders who grow them.
